This is a project I did with julie reinau in 2003. We needed a dinning table for a big dinning room. We did several different proposals but came up with a design that looked heavy but refined, and that was possible to construct ourselfs and at the same time afordable. The table consists of MDF boards that overlap eachother in a way so that no ends meet up. This is possible because of an inner construction that makes a stable structure for the 2.44 meter span. There are no visible joints, nails or screws which gives the table a certain elegance in spite of its dimensions. The material price of the table is around 1200 dkr which is nothing for a dinning table for 12 people.
