In 2000 and 2001 I was part of a research project funded by the Danish Ministry of Culture exploring virtual sets. This research was done with Svend Erik Søfeldt, Kim Halskov, Morten Lervig, Rune Nielsen and I. A lot of modern TV production take advantage of virtual set design which optimizes the workflow. Our aim was to look at the aesthetic potentials of virtual sets which basically is a realtime mix between the real world and 3D computer graphics. Apart from the research we held courses for architect- and information/media science students during the year.
This section documents some of the different tests and mini projects we conducted during the research project. The last thumb in each section contains a video.
