While still studying on AAA I got this commision from the municipality of aalborg. They had held an architect competition on city planning a new part of aalborg. The first, second and third price was presented quite differently why the technical department wanted the projects visualized in the same style. I was asked to model the three city plans in 3D according to the landscape of the site. This was done in FormZ and later rendered in 3D max. I was asked to match the three projects into three aireal photos. I did the match using the camera match of 3D max. The renderings had to be more abstract or diagrammatic than photorealistic wich suited me fine due to my at that time little experience in realistic rendering. The nine final prints was used to discuss pros and cons in the three projects giving the municipality the opportunity to sample a fourth city plan that would benefit from all the three projects.
