This project is a competition entry that I did with Morten Gregersen (nord) in 2001. BBB is short for Better Cheaper Dwellings wich was the idea of the competetion - to come up with new and cheaper ways of constructing dwellings that still had some interesting spatial values.

Morten and I tried to design the the project as a structure that was prepared for further add-ons so the area if necisary could convert into a more dense urban area.

The structure is created by six different dwellings ranging in size and spatialities. Each dwelling is a building block constructed of sandwich-boards. Kitchens, bathrooms and all piping are situated in prefab boxes in each end the dwelling.

The configuration of the six block types creates a huge variation of spaces between, over and under the dwellings. In this way different types of people can inhabit the spaces - where some have their own terrasse, some their own garden, others a shared courtyard and so on....
